QUEST-GI: Quantifying Evapotranspiration from Urban Green Infrastructure is an EPSRC-funded interdisciplinary project between the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering and the School of Biosciences at the University of Sheffield. This project is led by Prof. Virginia Stovin and Dr Holly Croft, and runs from 2025 through to 2029.
Our aims for this project are to develop a non-intrusive approach to estimating ET from urban vegetated Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) based on thermal remote sensing in combination with a limited number of non-invasive on-the-ground measurements and to provide urban drainage engineers with appropriate design tools and ET parameter values.
